What's Up with Dave and Jennie?

We could go into the long boring details about what we are doing, but a few of the highlights in point form are probably best.

- bought new halyards, fuel filters, and rebuild kit for engine

- Jennie flew to Mexico (with parts) and had a week of being an assertive gringo woman dealing with mexican mechanics, including a trip to the diesel shops in town

- Dave went back to work in the financial world. All that education, skill, and experience..... why stop now. However now Dave is operating his own practice within Investors Group. If anyone in BC wants a financial planner contact me!!!!! (shameless plug)

- Jennie is taking some courses in Public Relations (and looking for work), and Dave is looking to complete a few more courses to get an accounting designation.

- We joined the Bluewater Cruising Association, to be active in the cruising community and hopefully mentor a few dreamers (though we still remain a couple decades younger than everyone)

- Dave is racing on a J-33 out of the Royal Victoria Yacht Club, with a great group of people.

All in all we are just trying to make it in a new city, get settled and prepare to adjust our cruising styles to a few weeks at a time. The next trip will be next spring from where Cypraea is now up to at least Puerto Vallarta. Might be looking for crew.

Oh and I'm off to Winnipeg Manitoba on Sunday, could I get any further from the Mexican sunshine?
